Governor Gordon, Now Is The Time
The Wyoming Freedom Caucus has asked Governor Gordon to cut all Wyoming ties with the American Library Association.
Governor Gordon is “contemplating” leaving the American Library Association. We think there’s nothing to contemplate- the Association is a victim of radical left wing institutional capture, and we don’t need to affiliate with it in Wyoming.
Several members of the Wyoming Freedom Caucus, along with Secretary of State Chuck Gray, have sent a letter to Governor Gordon requesting that he cut all Wyoming ties with the radical American Library Association.
It has been recently revealed that the American Library Association, of which the Wyoming Library System is affiliated, has taken a sharp leftward turn. Now led by a self-avowed Marxist, the American Library Association encourages affiliated libraries to expose minors to sexually explicit materials through its “Rainbow Book List.”
Through this list, the American Library Association seeks to expose preschool children to books that “smash gender norms,” peddling the lie that male and female do not exist as biological categories. The list suggests that middle school children read books containing graphic depictions of sexual acts, including descriptions of an eight year old child engaging in masturbation and messages that encourage minors to access pornography and engage in “sexting”- a crime in our state.
At the end of the 67th Legislative Session, Governor Gordon urged the legislature to pursue “Wyoming solutions for Wyoming problems.” In this spirit, we have encouraged our governor to divest from the Chicago-based American Library Association, a group that seeks to present Wyoming children with pornographic materials and books that encourage illegal behaviors.

As it turns out, the Wyoming Department of Corrections quietly updated its policy on transgender inmates, and even uses our tax dollars to provide hormone therapy to inmates who identify as such. This cannot stand.
