Over half of American states have banned Zuck Bucks. Will Wyoming?
After the 2020 election, states have banned the use of private funds in election administration.
In 2020, leftwing nonprofits like the Center for Tech and Civic Life dumped hundreds of millions of dollars into battleground state election offices- with the help of Mark Zuckerberg.
This money changed how elections were administered by expanding mail-in voting, promoting unsupervised drop boxes, and politically targeted ‘get out the vote’ efforts.
House Bill 42, sponsored by the Legislature’s Joint Corporations Committee and championed by Secretary of State Chuck Gray, would have banned this practice in the Cowboy State. The bill was introduced unanimously and referred to the House Corporations Committee, but has since stalled.
During the committee’s February 14 meeting, Representative Cody Wylie (R- Sweetwater) made a motion to table the popular bill.
His reason?
Too many of the Establishment’s bills were stopped earlier in the day.
“With the temperament and the atmosphere on the floor right now, I think it could be appropriate to table this to the next interim.”
The last time we checked, Wyoming Legislators are called to consider each piece of legislation on its merits, not retribution based on the performance of other bills.

It is sad that this good bill would be shut down, because of earlier votes. This looks like a bill that all republicans could get behind.
