WyoLeg: Week Four Recap
The legislative session is nearly halfway over. What happened this week in Cheyenne?
The Budget
President Trump’s DOGE has also begun to discover billions in woke, wasteful pork.
Here in Cheyenne, the WYFC led the State House in offering common sense cuts to the state’s supplemental budget, including $72 million in property tax relief for the people.
When all was said and done, the difference between the Senate and House was nearly $110 million, with the Senate outspending the House and clawing their way to the Governor’s bloated budget request.
Delivering on Trump’s Agenda Here at Home
As President Trump boldly delivers on his campaign promises, it’s no coincidence that the 47th President’s priorities mirror our priorities in here in Wyoming.
Since January 20, President Trump has, among other things, pardoned peaceful pro-life protestors imprisoned by Biden’s DOJ, secured our border, and protected women’s sports.
This week, the Wyoming House sent the following measures to the Senate:
A bill to protect Wyoming’s life-affirming crisis pregnancy centers from harassment (House Bill 273 passed 46-14).
A ban on sanctuary cities (House Bill 133 passed 51-6).
One of two bills to protect women’s sports in K-12 and at our university and community colleges (House Bill 60 passed 51-6).
