The first week of the 68th Session of the Wyoming Legislature has come to an end, and even after a few short days, most folks notice a sense of change in the Capitol air.
With true conservative leadership in the Wyoming House, the body has gotten right to the work of the people, fulfilling our promise to act fast on their priorities. Here’s what’s happened so far:
Election Integrity: Our legislation to ensure Wyoming voters prove their Wyoming residency and US citizenship has made it through the Corporations, Elections, & Political Subdivisions Committee and onto the House Floor. After one more reading, it’ll be in the hands of the Senate.
Stopping the Woke Agenda: Our bill to end institutional discrimination under the guise of woke “DEI” is one vote away from passing out of the House and on to the Senate.
Protecting Our Core Industries: Our bill to prohibit tax dollars from being invested into communist, anti-fossil fuel “ESG” funds sits with the Minerals Committee, and will likely pass to the House floor on Monday.
Immigration Accountability: Our bill to invalidate driver’s licenses issued by blue states to illegal immigrants will get its first vote on the House floor on Monday. After two more rounds of voting, it will be on its way to the Senate.
Homeschool Freedom: A bill to remove the state’s boot from the neck of homeschool families passed the Education Committee today and will be discussed on the House floor Monday.
Protecting Women: The “What is a Woman” Act has one vote left in the House before it heads to the Senate— but the overwhelming support in our chamber for it didn’t stop RINOs from attempting to water it down. Representatives Elissa Campbell (“R,” Natrona) and Julie Jarvis (“R,” Natrona) indicated that defining “male” and “female” is too complicated and hurts the freedom of grown men who want to access the ladies room.
Stay tuned for more updates as the 68th Legislature reconvenes next week.
For those who want an unvarnished look at important developments, I suggest an out of country news source, preferably, from the site of a NATO democracy. NATO is an organization of treaty bound allies, that has kept us out of WWIII for seventy years. Australia and England both publish in English. We have done this through the power of countries that combined to tell the world that wars of aggression - to steal NATO land will not be tolerated.
