We’re Forwarding Your Priorities
Since the Wyoming Legislature gaveled in on January 14, the Wyoming Freedom Caucus has been working nonstop to get the people’s priorities across the finish line.
We’ve forwarded common sense conservative legislation to the upper chamber in record time, and we’ve wasted no time getting to work on the Senate’s bills.
With two weeks left in Cheyenne, the Freedom Caucus has passed the bills you’ve asked for— some bills we’ve even passed twice.
The House has sent two 50% property tax cuts to the Wyoming Senate— each with over 40 votes.
The House passed a bill to prevent your tax dollars from being wasted by woke ESG investing — and we’re poised to send a second back to the Senate this week.
The House approved a bill to end discriminatory DEI in Wyoming government, and will approve another in the coming days.
Bills Headed to the Governor
The following bills have been sent to Governor Gordon’s desk— we’ll find out this week if they make it into the statute books.
Bills Going Down in the Senate
This week we saw conservative priorities killed by the Wyoming Senate.
Our bill to protect the privacy of purchasers of firearms and ammo was killed 14-17. Here’s how the vote broke down.
Another bill to protect minors from the predations of sexual criminals was also killed by the Senate. According to the self-declared expert attorneys in the chamber, the bill was unnecessary.
The Senate Minerals, Business, and Economic Development Committee killed our bill to end climate alarmist carbon capture mandates on Wyoming energy producers.
